Free privacy tools
Blur images, faces and license plates, redact PDFs and remove photo metadata. Everything here runs on your device — in the browser or as an extension. No uploads, no accounts, no watermarks.
Blur an image
Blur, pixelate or black out any part of a screenshot or photo. Auto-detects emails, card numbers and API keys.
Open the toolPixelate an image
Turn a whole picture into blocks, from a fine mosaic to 8-bit — or pixelate just the faces or one part of it.
Open the toolCensor an image
Black out emails, card numbers and keys in a screenshot — found for you. Bars, blur or pixels for anything else.
Open the toolBlur faces in a photo
Finds every face automatically and blurs it — group shots, street photos, kids. Add boxes for plates or name tags.
Open the toolBlur license plates
Finds every plate in a car photo and blurs it — listings, street shots, parking lots. Pixelate or black out too.
Open the toolBlur a photo's background
Keep the people sharp and blur everything behind them, automatically — like a portrait lens. Or blur the people instead.
Open the toolBlur faces in a video
Finds every face and follows it frame by frame — keep yourself visible, blur everyone else. MP4 out, sound kept.
Open the toolRedact a PDF
True redaction: the export is a flattened, image-only PDF — no hidden text layer, no leftover metadata.
Open the toolRemove photo metadata
See what a photo gives away — location, phone, date — then strip all of it. The picture is not re-encoded.
Open the toolPhoto metadata viewer
Check what a photo's file says: GPS location, phone, date, camera settings. Read on your device, nothing uploaded.
Open the toolRemove video metadata
See what a video file gives away — location, phone, date — then strip all of it. The picture is not re-encoded.
Open the toolRemove PDF metadata
See what a PDF says about who made it — author, app, dates — then strip all of it. The text stays text.
Open the toolDataBlur
Blur sensitive data on live pages before screen shares, demos and recordings — one click, auto-detection included.

Pick by what you are hiding and where it is:
- Part of a photo or a screenshot you want softened — blur an image, one box at a time.
- A picture you want in blocks — pixelate an image. The whole thing at once, or only the faces or parts you pick.
- A screenshot you are about to share — censor it. Emails, numbers and keys are found and blacked out for you.
- People in a photo — blur faces. Every face is found automatically, including small ones in group shots.
- A car photo for a listing or a post — blur license plates. Each plate is found and blurred in a few seconds.
- A portrait or a selfie with too much behind it — blur the background. The people stay sharp.
- A clip with people who did not agree to be filmed — blur their faces, frame by frame, and keep yourself visible.
- A bank statement, a contract or a scan — redact a PDF. The export is rebuilt as images, so there is no text layer left to copy from.
- A photo you are about to send or post — remove its metadata first. Where it was taken is often inside the file.
- A photo someone sent you, or one you want to check before posting — view its metadata. You see what the file says without changing it.
- A video you are about to send — remove its metadata first. Where it was filmed is often inside the file.
- A CV, a contract or a report going outside — remove its PDF metadata. Your name is often in the file.
- Your screen during a call or a recording — the DataBlur extension blurs the live page before it is captured, and DataBlur AI catches secrets in prompts before they reach ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
Whatever you use, pick a solid box for anything that must stay secret. In our study of 480 samples, text under a light blur was recovered in 92–100% of cases; solid redaction leaked nothing.
